The Winnipeg Arts Council announced last Friday its list of nominees for the 2009 On the Rise Award, and Daniel ROA is on the list! The On the Rise Award recognizes the demonstrated potential of an emerging professional artist (in any discipline). The other nominated artists are: Marie-Josée Dandeneau, Michael Dudeck, Sheena Grobb, Takashi Iwasaki, and Freya Olafson. The winner will be announced on June 11, 2009 at the Mayors’s Luncheon for the Arts, held at the Fairmont Winnipeg.
Le Winnipeg Arts Council annonçait vendredi dernier la liste des artistes en nomination pour le On the Rise Award 2009, et Daniel ROA y figure! Le On the Rise Award reconnait le potentiel démontré d’un artiste professionnel émergeant (dans n’importe quelle discipline). Les autres artistes en nomination sont : Marie-Josée Dandeneau, Michael Dudeck, Sheena Grobb, Takashi Iwasaki, et Freya Olafson. Le gagnant sera annoncé le 11 juin 2009, lors du Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts, au Fairmont Winnipeg.
