Daniel ROA released today a new a cappella version of his hit song Des mots d’amour. The single is a 100% vocal adaptation of a song from his debut album, Le nombril du monde, which was initially released in 2008 and had garnered a Western Canadian Music Award for Francophone Album of the Year, as has his most recent work, Hyperbole (2011).
“The song had been very popular when I was promoting Nombril [du monde], and so my band and I decided to do a barber shop quartet version as an encore while on tour for Hyperbole”, says Daniel ROA. “People loved it, so I decided to record it. There are no instruments on this track – all the sounds came out of my mouth!” The single is available for download on iTunes and Bandcamp. And, during the entire month of June, Daniel is letting everyone « name their price » on Bandcamp!

« La chanson avait été très populaire lors de ma tournée pour Nombril [du monde], et donc mon band et moi l’avions adaptée en style barber shop, afin de la présenter en spectacle pour Hyperbole », dit Daniel ROA. « Les gens l’ont adoré, alors ça m’a poussé à l’enregistrer. Il n’y a aucun instrument – tous les sons sont sortis de ma bouche! » L’extrait est disponible maintenant sur iTunes ainsi que sur Bandcamp.
