Daniel ROA
The 7th edition of the Western Canadian Music Awards ended last night at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium in Brandon, MB, leaving some hardware in the hands of Manitoba artist Daniel ROA. Of the 5 Western Canadian artists nominated for Francophone Album of the Year, it is the album Le nombril du monde, the first for Daniel ROA, that took home the honours. Said Daniel :
I feel very lucky to have been selected, and I am truly grateful for all the opportunities this award presents to me. There are so many people that made this possible… I want to thank them all!
The prize carries with it a 10-date tour in Western Canada in the fall of 2010, thanks to the support of Réseau des grands espaces, an association of local francophone show promoters in Western Canada.
